The task of Churches Together in South London is to make connections between denominations and local churches across the area and to promote mission, unity and compassion in Christ's name.
Churches together groups .......
There are over 50 churches together groups across South London, In various ways, they help local congregations work, witness and worship together and they aim to be signs that Christians are one in Christ, whatever their tradition or denomination. Churches Together in South London supports these groups and on 21 May its Council meeting will look at ways in which they can be more effective. We shall hear stories of what local groups are doing as well as questions from other groups which are not sure of their direction. The hope is that we can learn from each other and move forward. By speaking the truth in a spirit of love, we must grow up in every way to Christ, who is the head. Under his control, all the different parts of the body fit together and the whole body is held together by every joint with which it is provided. So when each separate part works as it should, the whole body grows and builds itself up through love.

God the Father - draw us nearer to one another in your family of the church.
God the Son - reconcile our differences and break down our barriers by the power of your cross.
God the Holy Spirit - deepen our fellowship and strengthen the bonds of peace.
So may we, as one people, with one heart and mind, glorify you, the one eternal God, now and for ever.
