The task of Churches Together in South London is to make connections between denominations and local churches across the area and to promote mission, unity and compassion in Christ's name.
A week of prayer.......
Each year, between 18 and 25 January, Christians come together to pray for unity, using themes and words from a particular part of the world. This year, the churches of Poland have given us We shall all be changed based on the words of St Paul in his first letter to the Corinthians Churches and Christian organisations across South London will gather to pray, worship, reflect and act in the name of Christi who prayed that we might all be one. Resources for the Week, to be used by individuals or congregations, can be found on the Churches Together in Britain and ireland website www.ctbi.org.uk

Almighty God,
through Jesus you say to us that whoever wishes to be first must become the least and the servant of all.
Knowing that your victory is won through the powerelessness of the cross,
we pray that your church may be one.
Teach us to accept humbly that this unity is a gift of your Spirit.
Through this gift, change and transform us
and make us more like your Son, Jesus Christ.
